The Boatyard Vava’u Partners with Voyager Marine Insurance — Year-Round Cover, Including Named Tropical Storm Protection

We’re excited to announce a new partnership between The Boatyard Vava’u and Voyager Marine Insurance, bringing our customers a dedicated insurance program built specifically around haul-out and storage at Tonga’s only dedicated yacht facility.

Why this partnership matters

Vava’u sits inside the cyclone belt, and finding a policy that actually covers you through the season has always been a headache for boat owners here — whether you’re a cruising yacht on a season stopover or a local commercial operator. This partnership closes that gap.

Through the program, vessels hauled out and stored at The Boatyard are now eligible for full wind and cyclone coverage year-round — including Named Tropical Storm (NTS) cover — on top of your normal policy. That means you’re no longer choosing between standard cover and storm protection; you get both, in one policy, for as long as your vessel is on our hardstand.
