The Boatyard Becomes an Authorised Yamaha Service Centre
We’re thrilled to share some exciting news: after six months of dedicated work, The Boatyard is now an Authorised Service Centre and official reseller of Yamaha outboards in partnership with EM Jones Ltd, Yamaha’s trusted Tongan distributor.
The agreement was formalised late last year, and since then we’ve been busy building up our engine and parts inventory to make sure we’re ready to serve you from day one.
A Visit from Yamaha Japan
This month we had the honour of welcoming representatives from Yamaha’s team in Japan, who travelled to Tonga to assess the local outboard market. Alan Morey from The Boatyard and Kylie Evans from EM Jones sat down with the Yamaha team for what turned out to be a very productive series of discussions.
Key outcomes from the visit include:
- Technical training for The Boatyard’s team, ensuring our technicians are certified to the highest Yamaha standards
- Improved stock and supply lines for the Vava’u Island group, so parts and engines are available when you need them
